We have winners!

First place goes to a very very cool image... The Veil by ShoshieB1! This one looks like a lot of time and thought was given to it. Congratulations, ShoshieB1.

Second place was captured by Wastwater, created by one of our favorite UK artists, Andy Mercer.

Andy's talent as an abstract artist is even more potent than that... by popular acclaim, he won third place too! Very well done, Andy! I really like Colorscope V!

Good work, Andy, and thank you for your great entries.

Guys, the winning images are displayed on the home page with links to their artists' websites. So can you both please provide me with your chosen url?

Thanks for the kind comments.. I generally enjoy these competitions.. I know the voting isn't huge numerically.. but I personally find it interesting to know what a consensus of fellow artists enjoy.. and think is good or otherwise. The only people I really respect when it comes to judging is the democratic opinion of fellow artists. One artist acting as a judge is just one artists opinion.. but when a number of artists think something is good I think that is worth knowing and respecting.

I was really excited to see I had won 1st place.  I've only recently ventured into the realm of Abstract watercolors so to win the recognition of fellow artists is really humbling.
