OVA holds a monthly critique event for visual artists who'd like constructive
and helpful comments on the saleability of their work.
The events are the first Saturday of each month, starting between 10:00 to 11:00 AM PST.
GUIDELINES for REQUESTS
- Each event will be limited to 6 artists. First come, first served.
- The gate closes at 6 requests or 8 hours, whichever comes first.
- Requesting
artists must be OVA members.
- The Critique panel will have 48 hours to return feedback.
- Artists
can ask for ONE ONLY of the following critiques:
- One or two art works.
- The body of work as a whole.
- The prices.
- Links must work, and must link directly to images or galleries. (Test your links, please.)
Instructions for posting a Critique Request
- Go to the Art Critique Forum.
- Click on the current month's event.
- Click on new topic.
- Put your OVA user name in the subject.
- Briefly include in the topic your specific questions or concerns.
- To upload 1 or 2 images for review;
- Click Additional Options.
- Browse to the image on your computer.
- Click Open.
- For gallery or prices, post a direct link to the exact gallery. It's the artists' responsibility to make sure all links work correctly and go directly to the image(s) or galleries. Non-working links may be removed.
- Click the "notify" button, to get emails when comments are made on your
post.
- Click Post when done.

Andrea, who was born and
raised in Slovakia, developed a love for drawing at an early age. She
enjoys creating vibrant and playful surrealistic and whimsical images
loaded with energy, incorporating multiple dimensions and colors. She's
been told that her artwork is like "a romp through fantasia."
Andrea's
goal is to create images that bring happiness to people and brighten
their dwellings.
Her fine art prints in "Locomotion", "Persona" &
"Planters" galleries are Limited Editions. She prints 200 copies of each image in the form of digital print or canvas. Signed, numbered
& dated.
Andrea sells a number of
products with unique: "All i need is..." graphics designed by her.

John
Guild was born and raised in
the Los Angeles area. He studied fine art as a young man with a focus on
painting, working with primarily acrylics while receiving a liberal arts
degree. He later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical
Engineering
from California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo.
The urge to unite his early artistic
endeavors with this technical and problem solving techniques used in his
engineering career eventually led him to fine art photography as a
creative
outlet.
His work has been shown in the Houston,
Texas area as well as events in London, UK and Aberdeen, Scotland.
Recent commercial
work includes layouts in Architectural Digest, Conde Nast and Vanity
Fair. He is currently interested is pushing back
the
boundaries of floral art photography through his Extreme Floral series. This series was recently featured by
EmptyEasel.com. He has written numerous
articles on art and art photography
techniques, most recently for EmptyEasel.com and Online Professional
Visual
Artist Forum. John pursues life to the
fullest in The Woodlands, Texas area as an artist, an engineer, a father
of two
and a husband to one.
